- One UI x.5: Galaxy Note – Q3
Meanwhile, this year, the company has canceled the iconic Galaxy Note lineup and disclosed global chip shortage as the reason. Not only the flagship, but Samsung has also canceled the third polished version (x.5) of the same Android OS version 11.
Instead, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 as the third-gen foldable phones that come with the One UI 3.1.1 on top of Andriod 11. However, the strategy seems completely revamped as the recent report from our folks over at SamMobile confirms that One UI 3.1.1 will remain exclusive for the latest Galaxy foldables.
Samsung won’t release One UI 3.1.1 to anyone?
If the latest report is true, no Samsung device will get the third variant of the One UI 3 based on Andriod 11, however, it’s not entirely true. The data further shows that the company will offer new app improvements as well as system enhancements and bug fixes, just the user won’t be able to see One UI 3.1.1 marking in the about section.
It means, One UI 4 to come next… soon?
September is the most probable month for the beginning of Samsung’s Android 12 update adoption program, however, it could be announced early as well. The next One UI generation will be the One UI 4, which is likely to make its official debut later this year for the Galaxy S21 series, followed by the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 10, and Galaxy S10 thereafter.
If Samsung, the former world leader, won’t release the One UI 3.1.1 to the current Galaxy devices, the One UI 4 update could emerge earlier, just expectations, and the rest decision is Samsung’s! Well, as a die-hard Samsung fan, I’ll be happy to see the One UI 4 Beta trial for the Galaxy S21 series later this month and a stable build in November.
Will meet you at the One UI 4 Beta announcement article very soon! ????
