The August 2022 security update rolled out to special Galaxy devices in different countries. Right now, Samsung has started forwarding this Android security (August 2022) patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone users.

The firmware update brings some new improvements in overall device performance, and bug fixes. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 users can identify the new update through an upgrade software version number F926BXXU1CVG8.
It brings the latest August 2022 security patch that fixes various security and privacy-related vulnerabilities and makes the device more secure than before. It might also be general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
Some stock apps have also been updated which include the Galaxy Wearable, Global Goals, PENUP, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health, SmartThings, Samsung Members, Calculator, Smart Switch, and Voice Recorder.
Samsung had released the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in August 2021 with the Android 11-based One UI 3.1.1 software. Early this year, the smartphone received the One UI 4.1 update. The company will give 4 major updates in the future.
You might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven’t received it yet, you can check for the OTA update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install.
