Samsung releasing the latest software update for its four-year-old Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphones. The device getting a new March 2022 security update. This update improves system security and increases the user experience.
The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphones arrive with upgrade firmware version number G96xUSQU9FVB2. This update is presently available for the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus in the United States of America.
The company had launched the Galaxy S9 series in March 2018 with Android 8.0. The smartphone got the Android 9-based One UI update in early 2019 and the device receives the Android 10-based One UI 2 update in 2020.
If you are a Galaxy S9 series user in the USA, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven’t received it yet, you can check for the OTA update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install.
