The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has been revealed in a sleek black version and is expected to launch in January or early February 2025. This timing follows the trend set by previous Galaxy S models, which were also unveiled in January.
One of the most noticeable changes in the S25 Ultra is its flat sides, moving away from the slightly rounded edges seen in the S24 Ultra. This design gives it a look similar to the Google Pixel 9 and iPhone.
In terms of cameras, the S25 Ultra will come equipped with impressive features. It will have a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 200-megapixel main camera, a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel 5x telephoto camera. The ultrawide camera is expected to see the biggest improvements.
Another exciting aspect of the new model is its lighter weight. The S25 Ultra will weigh 219 grams, compared to the 232 grams of the S24 Ultra. Although it will be slightly smaller, it will maintain the same screen size, with dimensions of 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm.
Despite the lighter build, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will keep the robust 5000mAh battery found in previous models and will support fast charging at up to 45W. It’s also expected to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, which should enhance both performance and battery life.
The Galaxy S25 series is likely to be announced during the week of January 13, 2025, right after the CES event, which ends on January 10.
