Google’s September 2024 Play System Update has just been published, bringing several notable improvements. The update for Google Play Services (v24.34) includes bug fixes to enhance developer services and introduces new features for device connectivity.
Users will now receive clearer instructions on how to use Quick Share and experience a smoother process when receiving files through this feature, along with updated UI elements. Additionally, the Wallet feature has expanded to support JCB contactless payments in Japan.
In the Google Play Store (v42.6), there are upgrades to Play Protect, which now provides enhanced protection against harmful apps. The Play Points status can now be viewed directly at the top of the App Details page, making it easier to track your rewards.
For those using Android Auto, a new banner image with app icons will explain the benefits of the Play Store when you sign in.
