The Individual Contacts Tile displays a person’s name and profile picture in the center. On the sides, there are shortcuts for calling and messaging. Tapping the call button will directly dial the contact, while the messaging button opens a screen for text and voice messages.

You can also send emojis or quick replies like “Yes,” “Thanks,” or “On my way.” If a contact has multiple phone numbers, you’ll see a list to choose from, making it easy to select the right one. You can add several Individual Contacts Tiles next to your watch face for quick access.

This new Individual Contacts Tile is available with version 1.64 of Google Contacts for Wear OS, which just rolled out on the Play Store. It joins the existing Favorite Contacts Tile.

Another addition is the ability to send and view specific emoji reactions for Gmail notifications and in the Gmail app from your Pixel Watch. However, this feature isn’t available just yet.

Looking at the bigger picture, the Pixel Watch 1, 2, and 3 didn’t receive a system update this month. The September Wear OS 5 update for older watches was paused due to some issues.

Google has mentioned they plan to resume updates later this year. It’s surprising that the Pixel Watch 3 didn’t get an update this month, and hopefully, updates will resume soon.
