Here’s your first look at the redesigned Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra revealed by Onleaks. This is the black version of the upcoming phone, which is expected to launch in January or early February. For reference, the Galaxy S24 and S23 were both unveiled in January of their respective years.
The biggest change in the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s design is the flat sides. Unlike the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which had slightly rounded sides, the S25 Ultra will feature flat sides all around. This design is similar to the Pixel 9 and the iPhone’s look.
For cameras, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will include a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 200-megapixel main camera, and a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto camera. The 5x telephoto camera will still be a 50-megapixel sensor. The biggest upgrade is expected to be in the ultrawide camera.
The new S25 Ultra will be lighter than the S24 Ultra, weighing just 219 grams compared to the S24 Ultra’s 232 grams. It will also be slightly smaller but have the same screen size, with dimensions of 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm.
Despite being lighter, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will keep the same 5,000mAh battery as its predecessors and support up to 45W charging. It’s expected to use the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, which should improve performance and battery efficiency.
The Galaxy S25 series is likely to be announced the week of January 13, 2025, right after CES, which ends on January 10.
