The rollout of Android 15 updates has begun, but not for everyone. Surprisingly, Vivo is the first to release Android 15 through its Funtouch OS 15, ahead of both Google and Samsung. This is unusual since Google’s Pixel devices usually get the latest updates first. Even the new Pixel 9 phones are still on the beta version, with the official update expected in mid-October.
Vivo has already started pushing the update to its flagship devices, including the Vivo X100 series, Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, and iQOO 12. While the official launch of Funtouch OS 15 is set for September 30, many users are already experiencing the new features.
Vivo Android 15 Update Features:
Android 15 offers some cool new features, such as a Private Space for managing private apps, which Vivo devices already have, and partial screen sharing for better privacy during presentations. Additionally, it supports satellite connectivity, allowing users to communicate even in areas without cell service.
Vivo’s Funtouch OS 15 brings several exciting enhancements. It includes AI-powered tools like an AI Eraser for photos, which works similarly to Google Photos’ Magic Editor, and a shadow removal feature for better photo editing. There’s also a Live Transcribe tool that helps users follow conversations in real-time, improving accessibility.
Android 15 early release by Vivo marks a significant shift in the Android update scene, as it’s the first time an Android update has reached non-Google phones before the Pixel lineup. As a tech enthusiast, it’s exciting to see this change.
While I’m eagerly awaiting Android 15 on my Pixel 7 Pro, looking forward to October 15th.
