In late November, OnePlus promised to extend the update support period for some of its select smartphones that will launch in 2023. Recently, OPPO has also announced that it will offer 4 major OS upgrades and 5 years of Android security patches for its flagship smartphones.
In an official press release, OPPO said it guaranteed four major ColorOS updates and five years of regular security patches for select flagship models starting in 2023, but did not specify what selected flagship smartphones will be included in this new update support.
OPPO said that since its release on August 18, 2022, ColorOS 13 has been delivered to 33 smartphones worldwide, making it the fastest and largest update in ColorOS history. Compared with the same period of ColorOS 12 data, the number of mobile phone models compatible with ColorOS 13 has increased by more than 50%.
ColorOS 13 is the latest Android-Based operating system from OPPO.
