The Galaxy S10 is one of the best-selling and popular smartphone lineups introduced by Samsung. This series sports various handsets with different capabilities such as curved edge display and 5G connectivity.
At the time of launch, way back in 2019, the Galaxy S10 series came with the most up-to-date hardware and software offerings such as Snapdragon 855 chip and Android 9-based One UI 1.1.
When it comes to after-sales services, Samsung offers regular monthly security updates to all flagship Galaxy devices for at least three years of launch.
If we talk about big software upgrades, the company was previously committed to providing two Android upgrades to every Galaxy device including mid-range and flagship.
Galaxy S10 Android 12 Update
At the last Galaxy Note launch event, Samsung announced that all the flagship devices launched since 2019 (and/or shipped with Android 9 OS) will be eligible for three generations of Android OS upgrades support.
This announcement made the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 consumers quite happy as the Galaxy S9 and Note 9 were no longer eligible. Later 2019, the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ had received the Android 10 (One UI 2.0), followed by One UI 2.1 and 2.5.
And the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update was released later last year, followed by One UI 3.1 and One UI 3.1.1. After facing two Android OS switches, the Galaxy S10 series phone users have started getting the last Android update — Android 12 in December 2021.
